I arrived at the lake just before dark, around 8.45 pm. One other angler was on in swim 7, and I went in swim 5.
The left-hand rod went down to my left off some reeds in around 5ft of water, this area quickly slopes to 8ft, so a square lead was clipped on along with a hinge stiff rig as there was some bottom weed about.
The middle rod was cast towards the reeds at around 12 wraps in 8ft of water. This zone was clear, so a bottom bait with a 1-bait stringer was put on this rod.
The right-hand rod was fished in the middle about 12,5 wraps out in the same zone I had a fish from a few sessions earlier, again a bottom bait and 1 bait stringer.
A kilo of boilies was spread between the three rods. On reeling in my marker float, a spooked a carp close in under the surface. This was the only fish I saw during the entire session.
I woke around 7 am, and an N/NE wind sprang up. Unfortunately, I had to leave a little earlier than planned. I was away from the lake at around 9 am.
