Personal Experience Using NGT Stainless Steel Banksticks
I have some ancient Stainless steel banksticks from a reputable, known manufacturer. While they have lasted 30+ years, the points were never that sharp, and they are difficult to get into hard ground.
At one point, I needed to use three rods on single banksticks, so I purchased four 30cm NGT banksticks to use with my existing banksticks. Since then, I have purchased 50cm banksticks when I need longer front banksticks. Initially, I was pretty impressed with the sharpness of the point. I have been using the NGTs for a few seasons now, and they have been pushed into hard ground multiple times and are still straight.
They are quite light for stainless steel, lock up tightly, and stay there.
I recently had the point break off one of my banksticks. However, they have been used often and don’t owe me anything.
Summary
NGT Stainless Steel Banksticks are adjustable, budget-friendly banksticks available in various lengths and compatible with all buzzers, buzzer bars, and back rests. Priced at around £6 each, they offer excellent value for money.
Based on personal experience, they’re impressively sharp, easy and can be pushed into hard ground. They’re also lightweight for stainless steel, lock securely, and have remained straight after repeated use.
While one point eventually broke after heavy use, overall durability and performance have been excellent for the price.
